On a list of consumer top choices the New Balance ellipticals came fifth, ahead of models from Icon and Keys. There are three models to choose from, New Balance 8.0, 9.0 and 9.5. The design of the 9.0 and 9.5 are more appealing to most consumers as they are easy to use and have nice ergonomics. Originally the company that makes New Balance made clothing and shoes but they branched out, licensing their elliptical machines via Fitness Quest in Taiwan. In a very short period of time ellipticals have become very popular and apart from companies like Precor and Life most companies are new to them and therefore looking at their history to see their track record is hard.
