This model is NordicTrack’s try at making it more fun to work out on elliptical machines. In general workouts can be monotonous, so incorporated into the console is the Game & Train interactive video games and ifit workout card. Though these are exciting new features the basics are important too.
Firstly the machines are easy to put together, though most online stores will offer a home assembly service should you want it. When assembling the nordictrack ASR 700 elliptical do make sure parts are well lubricated. It has a 275lb weight capacity and is a stable design even during a high intensity workout. It is more suitable for users under 6′ as the stride length is 18″ but for those it is suitable for, the ride is smooth and enjoyable. It has workout arms that are adjustable for an upper body workout and you can target muscle groups in the shoulders, back and arms.
NordicTrack ASR 700 elliptical has digital resistance and 14 workout programs. Meaning you can get high intensity workouts and burn optimal calories. Beginners should start with low resistance and increase intensity manually before using the Personal Trainer workout programs, which can automatically control resistance. In the handle grip bars are heart rate pulse sensors giving accurate readings displayed on the Clear View display with other data including speed, time and resistance.
Now back to the fun stuff! Built in with speakers there is a music port which means you can plug in your mp3 player or iPod and workout to your favorite song selections. There are also games such as Fat Blocker, Calorie Destroyer, Texas Hold ‘Em and Black Jack. The harder you work out the easier the games get, acting as a motivator as well as taking your mind off the actual effort involved!
The workout technology on the iFIT workout card helps users tone and loose the fat all in 2 months. These cards are created by personal trainers which you then slide into the elliptical’s console. All the settings automatically change and the voice gives you your workout. These are sold separately so it means if you want the extra help you can go and get it, but you do not have to pay out for something you may not want to use.
All in all at only $1300 this trainer has a lot to offer with only a few negatives, those being that over 6 foot tall people will find the stride too short and the warranty.
