Nordictrack 1300 Elliptical – Affordable
This machine is priced at $999 on their website. It comes with a heart rate monitor, calories monitor, rotation and time. The pedals are large and the stride is a little larger than most machines at 20″ which is good news for taller people. The frame has a lifetime warranty, it has quiet magnetic resistance and the weight capacity of 350lb. The Elite nordictrack 1300 elliptical on paper seems like a good heavy duty piece of equipment, but reading customer reviews it seems there is a tendency for it to break or crack after around 12 months of use. However there are also reviews that are only positive about it too such as the fact it has 15 workout programs built in.
But like other ellipticals that come in the lower price range there is not an incline/decline feature. Overall when weighing all the customer reviews there are more people saying the nordictrack 1300 elliptical is mediocre which should make a potential customer wary about buying it. Though it is great that the frame has a lifetime warranty, the parts only come with a year warranty. Also the assembly of the trainer does take some time.
To be brutally honest, it is not an elliptical that comes highly recommended. It is missing features other elliptical machines have and considering it is from NordicTrack, who have equipment in gyms and health clubs that is reliable and enduring, this particular elliptical seems to be less than acceptable. Other reviews are also not impressed with the results of this machine. Customers complain that it arrives with parts missing, frames that are cracked, there is bad customer service and the handle bars squeak.
The only advantage that seems to come with nordictrack 1300 elliptical is that it is cheap, and there are stores like Costco that are selling it for even less, offering a large discount. Still even then it seems like a waste of hard earned money so this elliptical trainer is definitely not recommended.
