Manual will cost you less money but getting electronic means you can have your heart rate measured as you exercise. Check what programs are available with that model. Some come with none where others have several. For the regular user three programs is usually enough but that depends on what type of user you are going to be.

Finally look at the company that has made the machine. Some have very good reputations for customer satisfaction and others do not, so look at reviews and do your homework. If customers are complaining abut a company then it is not worth spending a large sum of money on their product. Also check the warranty that companies are offering as these can differ greatly. If you get a great piece of equipment but you have no or limited short warranty you could end up with some regrets.
