Buy Elliptical Trainer

First of all make sure you like the exercise you are going to be doing on it, that it works the muscle groups you want to target and that the type of exercise you do on it is what you want. In order to test out machines go to a gym regularly until you have tried out various machines and models. You do not have to have a life time membership, a lot of places will offer short term memberships. Join for a month until you have done your homework and know which ones you prefer. It is worth that small amount of money to find the machine that is right for you.

When you have tried different machines and found you prefer the ellipticals you still need to remember that home models and gym models are different, unless you can afford the high end prices. Those ellipticals are somewhat like those in the gym but you pay for it. They are usually more than most consumers can afford and since the machine at home does not get the same kind of traffic as those in a gym, there is no need to pay out that kind of money.

Prices for ellipticals can start at a few hundred and run right up to several thousands of dollars. Really the top of the range stuff is more for serious athletes, but obviously you want a machine that has a solid build, which most at the very low end of the cost range do not. At this bottom end of ellipticals they require more looking after, are less sturdy and do not have a smooth feeling. If you have bought a machine that you do not like the feel of and costs too much to maintain it, chances are you will not use it much, therefore the point of having some home exercise equipment is completely defeated.

A mid range is a good choice for most people. Around $1500 should get you a model that will last for a long time, has features to help diversify your workouts and work out various muscle groups. Check customer service records of different manufacturers so that you know what you are likely to run into if you should need any support.
